About The Position

The Integrated Solutions M/E/P Estimator supports the estimation manager, bid manager, pre-sales team, and customers during the sales process, with a focus on factory and third-party integration. The role provides technical input for bid proposals, projects, and sales-process technical documents, and identifies additional sales opportunities with existing customers. The Estimator collaborates with estimating, sales, engineering, operations, and solution architect teams to develop and recommend products and services that meet customer requirements.

The position includes participating in preliminary project design and engineering meetings, preparing detailed mechanical, electrical, and piping takeoffs and quotations, and helping develop tailored technical solutions for customer review. It also provides estimating and costing support to bid and project management teams, assists with equipment selection and technical calculations for Vertiv products, uses Trimble Accubid MEP for bid support, and provides technical and estimating support to Integrated Solutions operations project management. The role requires travel of 25% or less.

Requirements

• Two years of industrial or relevant commercial/industrial installation or integration estimating experience.
• High level of technical knowledge in electrical distribution and mechanical cooling/piping systems.
• Excellent teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of commercial/industrial infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements.
• Knowledge and experience evaluating electrical single-line diagrams, relay PLC schemes, and communication network diagrams, including media and protocols.
• Knowledge and experience evaluating process piping and refrigeration diagrams and associated control and communication network diagrams, including media and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical/Process Engineering, or comparable experience preferred.
• Experience with Trimble Accubid MEP or a similar estimating platform, technical scope review, and the design-build process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preliminary project design and engineering meetings to evaluate and begin takeoffs for integration materials and labor costs.
• Prepare detailed mechanical, electrical, and piping material takeoffs and quotations for large-scale integration projects across diverse applications.
• Help develop clear, concise, technically sound tailored solutions for customer review and acceptance based on customer requirements or RFPs, ensuring appropriate scope and technical specifications.
• Provide estimation and costing support to bid management and project management teams.
• Assist with equipment selections and technical calculations to meet requirements of Vertiv products.
• Use Trimble Accubid MEP software to provide comprehensive bid support.
• Maintain a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives, including reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity.
• Provide technical and estimation support to Integrated Solutions operations project management.
