Requirements

5+ years of experience delivering mechanical and process scopes on complex construction projects.
Strong technical background with familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams, and working collaboratively with consultants and Engineers of Record.
Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure and make sound technical decisions.
High level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
Strong BIM coordination experience on large projects.
Experience driving projects through Mechanical Completion and Commissioning.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Ability to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario.

Nice To Haves

Experience on oil and gas, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other high-profile or high-complexity projects is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage BIM and 3D model technical coordination between multiple trades, ensuring compliance with design intent, vendor recommendations, shop drawings, and existing site constraints.
Perform technical reviews to proactively identify potential gaps, risks, and concerns that may impact later stages of the project.
Lead and manage P&ID and BIM/3D model coordination and understand shop drawings, submittents, and technical documentation for mechanical and process equipment, ensuring design intent is met and vendor recommendations are implemented while considering site constraints.
Work closely with subcontractors and superintendents to address constructability challenges, installation sequencing, and field constraints.
Attend site regularly, assess field conditions firsthand, and lead issue resolution based on experience, subcontractor recommendations, and EOR input.
Drive mechanical and process scopes through Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning, ensuring systems are complete, tested, and ready for turnover.
