About The Position

The HIDI Group is seeking a Mechanical EIT to join their multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm. This role involves working alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects, focusing on building mechanical systems. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered (or eligible to register) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A collaborative attitude and a desire to learn from experienced professionals.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Revit.
Knowledge of mechanical building systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
Prepare drawings, calculations, equipment schedules, specifications, and engineering reports.
Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other project disciplines.
Participate in client meetings, design coordination meetings, and site reviews.
Perform site investigations and assist with documenting existing conditions.
Review shop drawings and support construction administration activities.
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and HIDI design practices.
Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable building design solutions.
