About The Position

Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Mechanical Drafter to join its team in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Mechanical Drafter supports product quality by ensuring manufacturing drawings contain the information required to manufacture and assemble mechanical components. This is an onsite position working closely with project engineers and other drafters in a fast-paced, supportive environment that promotes peer collaboration.

Requirements

Two-year technical degree in CAD.
At least 2 years of mechanical drafting experience; equipment-based mechanical components are preferred.
Experience with 3D parametric modeling and drafting software.
Proficiency applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) on drawings, specifically per ASME Y14.5 standards.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OneNote.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PTC Creo is preferred; SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor experience is also considered.
Mechanical drafting experience with equipment-based mechanical components is preferred.

Responsibilities

Meet daily with the project team leader to review project scope, status, and deadlines.
Create and update part and assembly drawings in accordance with engineering guidance, standards, and specifications.
Work with project engineers to resolve questions related to project scope requirements.
Complete projects on time and in alignment with project engineer expectations.
Share best practices and troubleshoot problems with team members.
