About The Position

The Mechanical Drafter works with the project team leader to review project scope, status, and deadlines. The role creates and updates part and assembly drawings in accordance with engineering guidance, standards, and specifications, and works with project engineers to resolve questions about project scope requirements. Projects are completed in a timely manner in line with project engineers’ expectations.

The role contributes to product quality by ensuring drawings contain the information needed to manufacture and assemble components, working closely with the engineering team through collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• A 2-year technical degree in CAD.
• Prior mechanical drafting experience, preferably involving equipment-based mechanical components.
• Experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling software.
• Proficiency applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings, specifically in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PTC Creo, which is preferred; SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor are also listed as examples of relevant software.

Responsibilities
