About The Position

Design the systems that shape how people live, work, and connect. As a Mechanical Designer within our Property & Buildings team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems that support high‑performing, sustainable buildings. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior designers and engineers while supporting a diverse portfolio of building projects across multiple sectors. You will play a hands‑on role in developing detailed models and drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the technical delivery of mechanical building systems from concept through construction.

Requirements

Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field
3–5 years of experience in BIM modelling and mechanical system design
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
Understanding of applicable building codes and standards
Ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

Experience designing building mechanical systems (healthcare experience is an asset)

Responsibilities

Prepare mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
Support senior designers and engineers in the development of complete drawing packages
Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems for building projects
Perform heating, ventilation, and cooling load calculations
Support engineering calculations using relevant design tools and software
Coordinate with project teams, external vendors, architects, and engineers
Support project delivery through accurate documentation and technical coordination
Participate in occasional local travel based on project requirements
