About The Position
Salas O’Brien is seeking a Mechanical Designer to assist in the design and preparation of mechanical building systems drawings. In this role, you will work in a team setting, assisting a project manager in drafting and designing HVAC, fire protection, sprinkler, and/or other specialty systems that meet company standards and client needs. This position is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in Building Design as a Mechanical Designer.
Requirements
- Experience in drafting/designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional or industrial buildings.
- Completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited College or University.
- Certification or eligibility to register as an AScT with ASTTBC or E.I.T. with EGBC.
- Demonstrated experience using Revit.
- Experience and proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong ability to work in a team setting and manages working independently well.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, focused project schedules and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
