About The Position

Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company currently has an opportunity where you can be a part of our growing team as we provide our customers with outstanding products that make the air we breathe and the water we use safe for generations to come. The Mechanical Designer III will prepare detailed drawings and bills of material for all equipment products, perform vessel and piping design functions, and prepare Submittal and O&M documents. The Mechanical Designer III will also review project and specifications and check drawings.

Requirements

• Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required
• A Driver’s License is required
• 2-3 years of Auto CAD 3D experience is required
• 3-5 years of Mechanical drafting & design experience is required
• 3-5 years Piping design experience is required

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly staff meetings and project kick off meetings
• Prepare transmittal's, Submittals and O&Ms
• Review project and vendor specifications.
• Check drawings and documents
• Use the latest version of AutoCAD to design & produce detailed 3D drawings
• Increase knowledge of products from peers, plant visits and managers.
