About The Position

SOGECLAIR DIGITAL ENGINEERING strengthens and develops engineering projects within the group, characterized by a diversity of expertise areas. As a human-scale company, SOGECLAIR and its expert teams offer a wide range of mechanical engineering skills, from R&D phases to service support. Our expertise includes aerostructures and systems installation, aircraft cabin interiors, industrialization, configuration management, management and operations consulting, product and process performance, digital transformation, operational excellence, and environmental transition. This role is crucial for supporting the interior and structural modification of aircraft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with five (5) years relevant experience or a minimum of ten (10) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
  • Proficient creating mechanical drawings using AutoCad or CATIA (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
  • Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
  • Self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and structural modification of the aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports.
  • Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.
  • Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
  • Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.
  • Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.
