About The Position

HIRING MECHANICAL DESIGN INTERNS IN HOUSTON, SAN ANTONIO, AND EL PASO

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Research building codes and standards for each project where applicable.
Assist mentor in performing HVAC load calculations utilizing Trane Trace 3D plus or Carrier HAP software.
Assist mentor in sizing ductwork and piping systems as applicable to each project.
Assist mentor in preparation of mechanical construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD/Revit.
Assist mentor with selection and scheduling of mechanical equipment applicable to each project.
Review design documents with mentor or engineer prior to completion.
Communicate with internal team members and external project team members as necessary to complete design.
Attend at least one project site visit throughout the duration of the internship. Attending additional site visits as applicable for assigned projects is encouraged when necessary.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor�s in Architectural Engineering.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/Revit.
• Ability to communicate and work with others as part of a project team.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Show a willingness to learn and ask questions.
