About The Position

Disruptor Manufacturing is seeking an on-site Mechanical Design Engineer with advanced, hands-on Siemens Solid Edge expertise. The engineer will own the design process from initial concept through production implementation, working closely with manufacturing and assembly teams on the shop floor to create production-ready models and documentation. The position is based at the company’s facility in Sanford, Florida. The base salary is $52,000 per year. Employees become eligible for the Profit Share Advantage program after 90 days, allowing them to share in company growth and profitability. Requirements

Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design, or equivalent practical design experience.
2–5 years of product design or manufacturing engineering experience.
Advanced, demonstrable proficiency in Solid Edge.
Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset suited to a fast-moving production environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with material data management or PLM/PDM structures.
Experience in automated machinery, structures, or custom product fabrication.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize complex 3D parts and large assemblies in Solid Edge using synchronous and ordered environments.
Generate precise 2D manufacturing drawings with accurate tolerances, GD&T, and fabrication symbols.
Optimize components for on-site production processes to reduce material waste and assembly time.
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and assembly documentation.
Collaborate directly with fabrication and assembly staff to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and refine design intent.
