About The Position

Align is seeking an energetic, talented, and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join its design team. The role contributes to the development of automation and material handling equipment, planning and carrying engineering projects from concept through production. The engineer designs new products and refines existing ones, collaborates across departments to ensure designs are feasible and meet customer and market needs, and supports ongoing improvements to product quality, cost, and design processes. The role also maintains project documentation and reports progress to senior management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in mechanical design.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and in engineering design principles.
Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and engineering standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on qualitative and quantitative information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and execute engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring they meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget.
Design new products and refine existing products while promoting innovation and adherence to industry standards.
Work with Manufacturing, Sales, and other departments to ensure product designs are feasible and aligned with customer and market needs.
Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and streamline design processes.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
