About The Position

Our mission at Welker is to Build Something Greater! We are a family-owned manufacturing company based in Sugar Land, Texas. We have designed and manufactured innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. Our expertise in utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP), 3D computer aided design (CAD) software, and on-site manual and CNC machines, make us a one-stop-shop for industry-leading products, turnkey solutions, and worldwide service. If you're looking to make a difference and Build Something Greater at a dynamic, forward-looking company, Welker might be the right fit for you. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys owning projects from concept through production. This role focuses on designing and customizing pressure-containing equipment and mechanical systems engineered for a variety of applications. Designs must meet customer specific and industry requirements. You’ll work on both modifications to existing products and new product development, collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, and quality. This is a hands-on design role where your work directly impacts real, built products—not just theoretical designs. If you enjoy solving practical engineering problems, working with CAD daily, and seeing your designs come to life on the shop floor, this role will be a strong fit.
