Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Agricultural preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of proven design experience in the heavy industrial equipment industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and structural design.
Proficiency with engineering software and CAD tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Investigate and develop new cost-effective design concepts using internal and competitive data.
Prepare and verify complex calculations related to loads, speeds, pressures, deflections, stresses, tolerances, and safety factors.
Create and review detailed and assembly drawings to ensure accuracy, fit, and adherence to design policies.
Develop layouts for new designs or revisions to existing designs.
Collaborate with suppliers to gather component information and establish specifications.
Prepare and revise engineering orders and bills of materials in line with design standards.
Calculate weights and centers of gravity for components and assemblies.
Investigate and design solutions for special customer requests.
Support prototype builds and participate in performance or structural testing of new designs.
Assist manufacturing teams during assembly, welding, and machining processes.
Resolve manufacturing issues identified by production engineering, sourcing, and assembly teams.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete designs and ensure integration across product systems.
Provide engineering support for field service issues and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare project time estimates and ensure schedule alignment with overall product timelines.
