About The Position
Lockheed Martin is seeking a mechanical/systems engineer to aid in Pre‑Design Review (PDR) design activities and to drive the post‑PDR design effort for a next‑generation space‑vehicle program. The incumbent will assist in the development of the baseline design package, perform trade studies, and ensure a seamless transition of engineering data, requirements, and documentation into the detailed design phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education
- CREO modeling and drawings or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience working with cross‑functional design teams
- Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration
Nice To Haves
- Experience on space‑craft or satellite programs; at least 3 years of direct PDR/Design‑Review responsibility
- Basic or Intermediate GD&T proficiency
- Experience managing multiple data sets including DSR 3 and DSR 4
- Design for manufacturability
