About The Position

Align is seeking an energetic, talented, and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join its design team. The engineer will contribute to the development of automation and material handling equipment, planning and executing projects from concept through production. The role focuses on creating new products and refining existing designs while meeting technical specifications, timelines, and budgets. The engineer will collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales, apply continuous improvement practices, and maintain project documentation and progress reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 2–4 years of experience in mechanical design.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and in engineering design principles.
Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and engineering standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions using qualitative and quantitative information.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and execute engineering projects from concept through production.
Ensure projects meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget.
Design new products and refine existing products, encouraging innovation and adherence to industry standards.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales to ensure designs are feasible and address customer and market needs.
Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and streamline design processes.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
