We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join us in our offices in Palo Alto, CA, to support the design of advanced composite and mechanical antenna assemblies, as well as the environmental test of these units. You will work with an experienced team that will guide you through the ins and outs of antenna design.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering or a related field.
2 years of experience, including 3D CAD modeling design and drafting (CREO preferred) as well as GD&T

Nice To Haves

M.S. degree in engineering.
Experience with the design of composite parts.
Additive manufacturing exposure or expertise.
Design of extremely tight tolerance components.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Design Engineer for a variety of antenna components to include large composite reflectors, test Mechanical Aerospace Ground Equipment (MAGE), and antenna feeds.
Determine applicable specifications for each design, development, test, and/or production activity.
Provide technical consultation to management and to other engineering and scientific personnel.
Design, document and report on engineering progress on assigned projects.
Provide floor support to the manufacturing team during builds.
Test (vibration, thermal, acoustic, shock) the units you’ve designed.
