About The Position

“Launch” is a new pathway for graduates stepping directly into permanent roles at Rolls-Royce. In this role, you’ll be based in the Electrical, Electronics, Software, Control System Design, and System Security (E24S) capability group, which sits within Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety. The E24S group is made up of a diverse team of engineers specializing in traditional and model-based software, systems, electronics, electrical power, and system security. The team works collaboratively across design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to meet customers’ needs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of control system design, requirements management, testing, data analysis and simulation/modeling tools.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences (e.g., team members, technical experts, and management).
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to worksites to perform job responsibilities.
  • Educated to a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Graduation eligibility: Those who have earned their degree August 2026 or prior.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. with indefinite work authorization; No sponsorships are available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Electronic hardware enclosure design, analysis, and testing for Electronic Engine Controllers and Engine Health Monitors.
  • Developing and understanding component requirements with internal and external customers.
  • CAD modelling.
  • Creating manufacturing drawings.
  • Performing tolerance stack-ups and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Performing FEA and thermal analyses.
  • Testing the mechanical design to show compliance to the required performance.
