About The Position

“Launch” is a new pathway for graduates stepping directly into permanent roles at Rolls-Royce. In this role, you’ll be based in the Electrical, Electronics, Software, Control System Design, and System Security (E24S) capability group, which sits within Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety. The E24S group is made up of a diverse team of engineers specializing in traditional and model-based software, system development, electronics, system safety, and system security. The team works collaboratively across design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electronic design, analysis, and testing
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences (e.g., team members, technical experts, and management)
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to worksites to perform job responsibilities
  • Educated to degree level in a STEM subject of: Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • You will receive your degree between December 2025 and August 2026.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. with indefinite work authorization; No sponsorships are available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a wide variety of projects to support our diverse customer base.
  • Requirements development, electronic design, integration, and testing.
  • Design and development of power and propulsion control systems, working within a cross-functional, agile team under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
  • Developing electronic requirements with internal and external customers.
  • Resolving electronic integration challenges, while working on our real-time simulators.
  • Interacting with our software and system development teams to ensure our real-time simulators meet the technical needs of various engine programs.
