About The Position
Advance CNC Machining is seeking a proactive, organized, and conscientious Mechanical Design Engineer to provide accurate designs and analysis and take ownership of projects through completion. The company produces high-precision machined parts for customers across the country, including equipment manufacturers and customers in the food, drug, aerospace, and defense industries. The role is remote, but candidates must live within one hour of the company’s Grove City or West Chester, Ohio office. Compensation is to be determined and may be based on an hourly rate or per-job basis. Employment is conditional on successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Requirements
- Advanced mechanical engineering knowledge gained through a bachelor’s degree or other education and experience.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and conscientious approach to work.
- Ability to learn quickly and excel at problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Relevant knowledge or experience in areas such as manufacturing, inspection, machine design, control systems, and project management.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must live within one hour of the Grove City or West Chester, Ohio office.
Nice To Haves
- SolidWorks experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze sample parts and machinery.
- Interpret technical design information.
- Design parts and mechanical assemblies according to customer requirements.
- Create CAD models, engineering drawings, and inspection plans for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and other team members.
- Take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.
