About The Position

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a dynamic Design Engineer II to join their team. This role involves various engineering tasks and project support for complex projects within the gas business unit. The company is an industry leader in engineering and consulting services, focusing on modernizing, protecting, and strengthening critical infrastructure. This position is suitable for individuals who enjoy leading projects, solving complex challenges, and building systems that support operations. The engineer will collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and drafters to develop design packages for complex projects, contributing calculations, drawings, and documentation that meet project requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities include supporting both small and large projects, taking ownership of discipline-specific design work on simpler efforts, and assisting with technical analysis on more complex ones. Daily tasks involve working through design challenges, communicating impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and developing proficiency in CAD and engineering tools. Quality assurance is maintained through self-review and participation in peer and QA/QC checks. Client interaction is limited, but the role involves coordinating key information through project leaders and occasional support for field activities, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in the pipeline industry or a related engineering or consulting industry

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with gas facility work
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Responsibilities
