About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring an Experienced Mechanical Component Failure Analyst (Level 3) to join our Equipment Quality team in Seattle, WA. This role involves performing failure analyses of airplane hydraulic and/or mechanical components to determine the cause of failure. The position emphasizes bench testing skills, component disassembly, technical evaluation, precision measurement, analytical reasoning, and report writing. The analyst will maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems, and supporting technical documentation, and will develop test methods to replicate failure modes. The role also includes leading analysis teams comprised of Suppliers, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, airline representatives, and government representatives, and preparing formal technical reports of investigation results for internal and/or external customers, including government agencies.

Requirements

1+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis
3+ years of experience testing hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
1+ years of experience writing technical reports
1+ years of experience leading multiple projects at the same time
Must be able to travel 10% of the time

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience precision measurement equipment & GD&T
1+ years of experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry or governmental agencies
1+ years of presentation experience
