About The Position

Decima International is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to support independent, third-party commissioning of mechanical systems on data center projects. Under the direction of a Commissioning Engineer, the technician performs, witnesses, and documents field inspections and tests to verify that equipment is installed correctly and operates as designed. The role requires hands-on mechanical commissioning experience, strong documentation skills, and safe collaboration with contractors and equipment vendors during inspections, functional testing, and Integrated Systems Testing. The position is based on project sites across the United States and requires 50–75% travel, including extended assignments of three weeks or more. Travel, lodging, and per diem are provided according to company policy. Site rotations are planned before each project and are typically two to three weeks onsite followed by one week offsite, subject to project requirements and delays. Work takes place in active construction and data center environments, including at heights and in mechanical and electrical rooms, as well as hot or noisy areas.
