About The Position

RESPEC seeks a Mechanical BIM Technician to join our full-service engineering team in Juneau, Alaska. This role will assist in designing world-class projects using state-of-the-art technologies. As a BIM Technician, you’ll be an integral part of our multidisciplinary engineering design team. You will work primarily in Revit and have the opportunity to leverage Autodesk Construction Cloud, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Recap and Bluebeam Revu to enhance your workflows. These powerful platforms empower you to digitally prototype and document precise, clash-free designs that bring facility projects to life. Your role will directly contribute to the success of construction projects. From modeling HVAC and plumbing system layouts to producing plan sheets, elevations, and sections, your work will shape the future of our built environment. You’ll visualize complex systems to ensure seamless coordination across disciplines. Your ability to recognize spatial conflicts and help optimize designs will be invaluable. You will also curate and maintain our BIM and CADD library, ensuring seamless access to essential resources and support files.

Requirements

Proficiency in BIM and CADD software (Autodesk Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD and Recap)
Interest in emerging technologies
Strong visualization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work and communicate effectively in collaborative team settings
Ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual direction

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience in mechanical drafting and modeling preferred
Experience in construction and related trades will be beneficial
Related degrees or certifications desired
