About The Position

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has an opportunity in Orlando, Florida for a Mechanical Assembly Technician. The role involves assembling moderately complex electromechanical assemblies, installing metal subassemblies into larger assemblies, and performing light fabrication for prototyping. The technician must be able to read engineering drawings and parts lists and use a range of hand tools and machining equipment. Applicants must be a US Person to work at this facility. Requirements

• Must be a US Person to work at the facility.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring and insertion tools, including calipers.
• Ability to assemble moderately complex electromechanical assemblies and install metal subassemblies into larger assemblies.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience.
• Experience with hand tools and equipment including Helicoil insertion tools, Clecos, combination squares, drills, taps, safety wire pliers, ratchets, combination wrenches, shears, press brakes, manual milling machines, lathes, or pipe-bending tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
