About The Position

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has an opportunity in Orlando, Florida, for a Mechanical Assembly Technician. The role involves assembling moderately complex electromechanical assemblies, installing metal subassemblies into larger assemblies, and performing light fabrication for prototyping. The technician must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists and use a variety of hand tools and related equipment.

To work at this facility, the employee must be a US Person. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and education.

Requirements

• Must be a US Person to work at the facility.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment, including calipers, Helicoil insertion tools, Clecos, combination squares, drills, taps, safety wire pliers, ratchets, and combination wrenches.
• Ability to assemble moderately complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Ability to assemble and install metal subassemblies into larger assemblies.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience.
• Experience with a shear, press brake, manual milling machine, lathe, or pipe bending.
