About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring 1st & 2nd Shift – Mechanical Assemblers in Dallas, TX. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling work structures, performing acrylic cutting and thermoforming, wood cutting and surface upholstery, and assembling structures for workstations and installing them in production lines. You will also be involved in preventive/corrective maintenance, material classification and management, and coordination of activities and work orders. The role requires the ability to use various hand and power tools, basic math skills, and the capacity to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn on the production floor.

Requirements

  • 1 + years of related Mechanical Assembler experience
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints & Wiring Diagrams
  • Ability to handle Sharp tools (Cutter, Garfiul) and other tools including disk lock, jigsaw, industrial stapler and bow with hacksaw
  • Ability to operate rotating tools (drill, moto tool, pneumatic gun)
  • Use of Manual tools (pliers, screwdrivers, ratchets, hammer, spanners, T keys and L keys)
  • Ability to read/write/speak in English
  • Must be able to pass a 7-year background and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and Disassemble work structures

  • Use basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
  • Prolonged periods of Standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
