About The Position

The Mechanical Administration Intern supports mechanical operations across active projects by providing administrative, reporting, documentation, and field coordination support. The role provides hands-on exposure to mechanical office and field workflows, project documentation, scheduling, reporting, and operational data management throughout the construction lifecycle. Working alongside Mechanical team members and field leadership, the Intern assists with maintaining organized project information, supporting timely communication and follow-through, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position is designed to develop foundational skills in mechanical construction operations, project administration, and real-world field support while contributing meaningful value to ongoing Mechanical initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Interest in mechanical construction, field operations, project administration, and process improvement.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, trackers, and reports.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proactive, dependable, professional, and able to work independently with strong follow-through.
  • Willingness to learn Mechanical office and field operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with office personnel, field leadership, project teams, and other stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to construction project workflows, project management systems, reporting, or operational data is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and organization of Mechanical reports, trackers, spreadsheets, logs, and supporting documentation.
  • Support Mechanical field leadership with administrative needs related to active projects.
  • Assist with entering, organizing, and validating project-related information within spreadsheets, reports, and designated systems.
  • Participate in field activities and site visits to observe Mechanical operations, understand jobsite workflows, and connect administrative processes to real-world field execution.
  • Assist with special projects, training efforts, process-improvement activities, and other Mechanical initiatives as assigned.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Mechanical office personnel, field leadership, project teams, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Mechanical operations and field enablement initiatives.
