About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking customer-focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join its team. The Mechanic troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs Crown and other makes of lift trucks, performs planned maintenance at customer locations, maintains a service van and its inventory, and completes paperwork after each job. The position includes award-winning service training, a company vehicle for field service technicians, uniforms, specialty tools, and career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice To Haves

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Technical degree.
• Previous lift truck repair experience.
• Welding experience.
• Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
• Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, torch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
• Industry-related training.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks.
• Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
• Maintain a service van and its inventory.
• Process paperwork after completing each job.
