About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is hiring a Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks. The position also performs planned maintenance on customer lift trucks, maintains a service van and its inventory, and processes paperwork after completing each job. The role involves field service work and offers award-winning service training, a company vehicle for field service technicians, tool insurance, specialty tools, uniforms, a no-flat-rate compensation structure, and career advancement opportunities. The schedule is 40 hours per week plus overtime and is primarily first shift.

Requirements

Less than 2 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice To Haves

Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree.
Previous lift truck repair experience.
Welding experience.
Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
Industry-related training.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.
