About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is hiring a Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks. The role includes performing planned maintenance on customer lift trucks, maintaining a service van and its inventory, and processing paperwork after each job. Service technicians receive company-provided training and equipment, and field service technicians receive a company vehicle.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; the employer does not provide sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Technical degree.
• Previous lift truck repair experience.
• Welding experience.
• Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
• Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and testing equipment.
• Industry-related training.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan work, and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks.
