About The Position

The Mechanic will utilize their mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high-speed coater line. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying all mechanical systems, using precision measuring tools and working with close tolerances up to .0010. The Mechanic will also work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to pass a mechanics test
- Desire to operate and maintain Silgan's coater lines
Responsibilities
- Utilize your mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high speed coater line
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all mechanical systems
- Use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances up to .0010
- Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity
- Performing and documenting quality checks and measurements
