About The Position
Mechanic $25–$30/hour (Based on Experience) Are you a skilled mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and figuring out how things work? ISCO Industries is an industry leader in HDPE piping solutions and fusion equipment, and we're looking for a dependable, hands-on Mechanic to join our team. This isn't your typical mechanic position. You'll have the opportunity to work on specialized HDPE fusion equipment, tackle a variety of mechanical challenges, and develop valuable technical skills in a unique industry. Whether your background is in automotive, industrial equipment, or machinery repair, your mechanical expertise could be a great fit for our team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical repair experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery or equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for documenting repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ability to work independently while also being a reliable team player.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on HDPE fusion equipment.
- Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
- Repair and replace parts to restore equipment to proper working condition.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Test equipment following repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts replaced.
- Communicate repair needs, equipment concerns, and maintenance updates to the team.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
