About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment safely and effectively to avoid downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-lines locations may also include large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The role offers opportunities to work on varied makes, models, and equipment, develop skills for a career track in service or operations management, and work with a safety-focused team. Mechanic's tools of the trade may need to be provided by the employee. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required by the job. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
Three to five years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment is strongly preferred.
Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.
