About The Position

To ensure the rental boat is mechanically operational for the customer during the rental period.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Boat engines
• Previous small and large outboard experience.
• Ability to work with guest in all areas with a positive approach.
• Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work as a team.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of operating and maintaining outboard propulsion engines.
• Conduct pre-rental mechanical checklist to include the following: a. Electrical and fuel systems b. Props c. Batteries d. Bilge cases e. Gear cases f. Steering system
• Utilize skills to troubleshoot mechanical, fuel and electrical problems.
• Knowledge of the proper operation of houseboats/small boats.
• Know how to perform trim and tilts.
• Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality.
• Use “clean as you go” method when performing your work duties.
• Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind.
• Adhere to safety policies.
• Be present at all departmental, resort, and training meetings.
• Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments)
• Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed.
• Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort.
• Be knowledgeable of all resort operations.
• Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management.
