About The Position

Assists in the repair and tracking of on-site equipment, vehicles and machinery. Receives training to advance the auto shop’s skill set with vehicles and equipment. Possesses the willingness to repair Forest Home vehicles, equipment and machinery. Utilizes CMMS for work order management, tracking and completion of all requests. Responsible for keeping inventory and tools organized and in good condition. Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions. Assists in snow removal and other tasks as assigned including after normal work hours. Monitor vehicle registrations, smog certificates, servicing and maintenance records to ensure compliance and timeliness. Perform in assigned areas as related to our cmms. Ensures facilities is in safe working condition and reports potential safety issues and recommends appropriate changes. Ensures tools and maintenance equipment are in working order and keeps maintenance buildings clean and organized. Operate different tools and equipment such as golf carts, company vehicles, heavy equipment, forklifts, etc. in a safe manner. Complies with factory specifications in relationship to equipment and material, and assures that all materials are handled according to factory recommendations and training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to hear from God and pray for people, both in person or on the phone.
  • Actively supports and participates in the staff spiritual life activities.
  • Signed statement of faith.
  • Able to be trained and learn functions necessary to solve mechanical problems by fabrication, welding, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for initiating a pleasant atmosphere by displaying a professional attitude through performance, appearance, and demeanor.
  • Regular, timely attendance.
  • A self-starter.
  • To work cooperatively with another mechanic and to share all required duties.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide service and streamline processes without compromising the integrity of the department or Forest Home and its policies and procedures.
  • Able to accomplish assigned projects utilizing highly developed communication (written and verbal), project management, and time management and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and perform high quality work.
