About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking knowledgeable, customer-focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join its service team. The role involves servicing Crown and other makes of lift trucks at customer locations, maintaining a service van and its inventory, and completing job paperwork. Crown describes a 40-hour workweek plus overtime and primarily first-shift work. The anticipated starting pay range is $23 to $28 per hour, with skills and related experience considered. Requirements

Less than 2 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice To Haves

Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, including knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree.
Previous lift truck repair experience.
Welding experience.
Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
Industry-related training.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks.
Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completing each job.
