About The Position

Seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to repair and perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. This role involves working with medium-duty trucks and trailer maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting major components like engines and transmissions, and utilizing various tools of the trade. The position requires the ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

• Experience working with medium duty trucks and trailer maintenance.
• Experience with working on Cummins Diesel and small diesel engine with turbo.
• Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to solve problems.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment, and education) and pass a drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• OEM training courses.
• ASE Certification.
• 608/609 certifications.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities
