About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing quarry plant equipment to support safe and efficient production. The mechanic will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various machinery, read and interpret technical documents, and collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is also a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment
- Capability to work safely on quarry plant machinery and material processing systems
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and procedural compliance
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations teams
- Physical ability to perform hands-on mechanical work in an industrial environment
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair quarry plant equipment to support safe and efficient production
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, and related systems
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and work orders to complete repairs accurately
- Partner with operations to prioritize maintenance activities and reduce downtime
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards
