About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused technician with experience in auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift repair to service lift trucks. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Crown and other makes of lift trucks; performing planned maintenance at customer sites; maintaining a service van and its inventory; and completing paperwork after each job. Field Service Technicians receive a company vehicle. The position is primarily 1st shift and provides 40 hours per week plus overtime.

Requirements

Less than 2 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice To Haves

Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, including knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree, previous lift truck repair experience, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical and air tools, a torch, an arc welder, and various types of testing equipment.
Industry-related training.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.
