About The Position
This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Current valid State driver’s license
- Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance
- Able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
- Minimum 1 year basic mechanical or maintenance skills including PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi - trucks and trailers
- Minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
- Must be able to read and understand assignments
- Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 - months
- Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting/relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent to include Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education in a related field in lieu of a Diploma

- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
