Mechanic - Level 3
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic - Level 3. This role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to ensure the safest and most effective operation, minimizing downtime. The fleet includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment, and potentially large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment at specialty locations. The position offers opportunities to build skills on various equipment, develop new skills for career tracks in service or operations management, and work within a safety-focused team environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5 + years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- May need to provide tools of the trade.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
