About The Position

Colville Transport is hiring a Mechanic II to support its fleet in a professional shop environment. The position involves diagnosing and repairing tank trailers, flatbeds, and heavy-duty trailer systems, conducting DOT inspections and preventive maintenance, and completing a range of mechanical, pneumatic, welding, and structural repairs. The mechanic is expected to work safely and efficiently, maintain accurate service documentation, and perform intermediate to complex repairs with minimal supervision. Requirements

• 3–5 years of trailer and/or heavy-duty diesel repair experience.
• Ability to perform intermediate to complex repairs with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
• Experience with air brake and suspension systems.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience, preferably aluminum.
• CDL.
• ASE certification or diesel technology training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tank trailers, flatbeds, and heavy-duty trailer systems.
• Perform DOT annual inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Repair brake systems, air systems, suspensions, lighting, wheel seals, and structural components.
• Complete aluminum and steel welding repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate service documentation.
• Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations.
