About The Position
Canteen is hiring a full-time Mechanic II in Tigard, Oregon. The position operates and maintains equipment, including HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators, and steam equipment, and reads and records meter and gauge information to verify operating conditions. The role responds to repair dispatches, services customer equipment, and helps address service complaints. Previous mechanical experience is preferred, and the employer is willing to train.
Requirements
- Type I Refrigeration Certification.
- Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license.
- Previous mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, quality customer service.
- Respond to dispatch calls for machine and equipment repairs.
- Contact existing customers to assess service adequacy and resolve complaints.
- Inspect machines and equipment to locate malfunctions and dismantle machines to access problem areas.
- Inspect parts for wear, misalignment, and other problems; replace defective parts, repair broken parts, realign and adjust components, and test machine operation after repairs.
- Review inventory, order parts, ship and receive machines, and maintain equipment inventory.
- Set up and operate mechanical equipment and small hand tools for repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform work safely.
- Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, colleagues, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
