Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Disassembly Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling aircraft engines, cleaning and preparing components for inspection, and supporting the overall maintenance and repair process. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and committed to precision, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of engine components and functions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, hoists, and cleaning systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written work instructions and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak one-on-one and perform presentations to varied group sizes.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Proficient in the utilization of the following software and/or systems: Microsoft Office Suite, Human Resources Information System (e.g., Ulti-Pro, NetSuite), benefits provider databases through direct input or electronic interfaces.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in aircraft or automotive disassembly, aviation maintenance, or a similar field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble aircraft engines and components in preparation for inspection, repair, or overhaul.
  • Clean and prepare engine parts using methods such as solvent washing, soap washing, and blasting.
  • Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cleaning equipment.
  • Follow technical manuals, detailed work instructions, and all safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged or worn parts for further evaluation.
  • Stage and prepare parts for inspection and assembly teams to ensure smooth workflow.
