The Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper performs a variety of tasks such as washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles; loading, unloading, and storing automotive parts and supplies; and maintaining work areas. They assist Vehicle Mechanics in performing a full range of maintenance, repair, and service activities on automobiles, Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV), Buses, and Vans. The role involves maintaining work areas to ensure a safe work environment and performing apprentice maintenance, repair, and modification functions under the general supervision of senior team members. Duties include installation or removal of access panels, components, and accessories, washing and cleaning of units, and other non-complex tasks. The helper will also assist with checking and replacing components, batteries, and tires, and must adhere to safe work practices at all times.
