About The Position

Heimes Corporation is seeking a qualified Mechanic Foreman/Manager for the 2nd shift (3 PM - Midnight). This role involves making repairs on equipment/vehicles and performing general maintenance. Heimes Corporation is a construction company based in Omaha, Nebraska, offering a wide range of services including Excavating, Underground Utilities, Recycled Concrete, Plumbing, Directional Drilling, Underground Storage Tanks, Wrecking, Transportation, and Hazardous Materials Cleanup/Hauling (ESI). The primary responsibility of the 2nd shift team is to ensure trucks are ready for operation each morning, addressing repairs such as brakes, lights, electrical systems, mud flaps, tarps, and side boards. The foreman/manager will delegate work, manage 1-4 employees, report issues to the shop manager, and perform repairs themselves. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, abide by DOT regulations, and speak and understand English for construction safety reasons. A zero-tolerance policy for cell phone use while driving is enforced. E-Verify is utilized for employment eligibility.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on a wide range of equipment/vehicles.
  • Experience with Ford, Kenworth, International, Western Star and many more DOT pickups/trucks/trailers.
  • Experience with CASE, CAT, John Deere & Komatsu equipment (Excavators, Compactors, Dozers, Wheel Loaders, etc.).
  • Experience with Cummins, CAT, and Detroit engines.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must abide by DOT regulations.
  • Must speak and understand the English language.
  • Full time applicants should have their own tools.
  • Full time applicants should have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities
