About The Position
This full-time mechanic position is responsible for completing maintenance on all company-owned equipment, including tractors and trailers. A CDL is not required.
Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be proficient in operating standard-transmission vehicles.
- Understand all FMCSA requirements and be able to pass an annual PM certification.
- Safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to oneself or coworkers.
- Have a complete set of hand tools.
- Have advanced knowledge of vehicles, electrical systems, and diesel-engine mechanisms.
- Have in-depth knowledge of diesel-engine components and operational mechanisms.
- Have superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
- Have basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.
Nice To Haves
- Fleet diesel and gas experience or trade school training is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment.
- Perform minor and complex repairs.
