About The Position

The Meat Utility performs a variety of duties within production, including opening meat, de-boxing, carrying boxes, and moving product through the production area. The role involves manually transferring meat, moving equipment, making boxes, and possibly operating basic processing equipment. It may also include basic sanitation duties.

The position is based in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas that are cold and wet, with regular exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces. Heavy lifting, standing, walking, and reaching are part of the work.

Requirements

• Perform heavy lifting; stand, walk, and reach regularly.
• Use touch, feel, and finger and limb manipulation to operate processing and material-handling equipment.
• Use the sense of smell to detect levels of wholesomeness and spoilage.
• Work in cold, wet refrigerated processing and warehouse areas with regular exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces.
• Be currently authorized to work in the United States.
