About The Position

The Meat Seafood Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram, and pricing activities for the Meat and Seafood departments. The role is directly responsible for Meat team members and works to achieve financial performance goals, provide first-class customer service, maintain accurate pricing and signing, and follow sanitation and safety procedures. The position also supports staffing, team training, scheduling, and inventory management. Duties may include other tasks assigned or required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members, supporting a positive company image.
• Achieve financial performance goals in the Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conduct interviews to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Train Meat team members to build and sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Write and manage Meat schedules to support first-class service levels and expense control objectives.
• Ensure Real Time Apply is completed accurately and according to Meijer timelines.
• Maintain signing execution and pricing accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Manage inventory shrinkage through back-of-house accuracy, production planners, and rotation guidelines.
• Respond to and complete MITS tasks in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.
